Use and installation
Use a stud finder to locate a ceiling joist where possible, anchor the top mount plate into a joist or use ceiling-rated drywall anchors sized for the loaded weight.
Drill pilot holes, insert anchors, and drive the mounting screws.
Attach the drop arm to the ceiling plate and the hexagonal ring to the bottom of the drop arm.
A second person and a step ladder simplify alignment.
